Fashion of the Jazz Age
The most popular shoe of the decade were Mary Jane's with a single strap. Perugia was a famous shoe designer in the 1920's. Most of her pieces had pearl straps and draped cloth in the front.
Women generally wore shorter dresses whose hemline was right at the knee or just above it. Dresses did not have a distinct waistline. Dresses were pleated and sometimes were embellished with beads, feathers, and other accessories.

Avant-Garde Pieces
More extreme pieces were made in Europe in the 1920's. These luxurious items were often made of silk, fur and imported textiles from Africa. Events like the Paris Grand Prix encourage loud fashion.
